With a reasonable set "min offer" of around $300 , what's the highest "first offer you have ever had at Sedo :?

Mine was $5,000 earlier this year, incidentally for a name that I had on another forum at the same time at just $1000 BUY NOW :)

We closed the sale in about 4 hours with offer /counter offer and I eventually sold at $12,000 - money was received from Sedo within 5 days of that first bid. :sold:

This might suprise some, but I have never had an offer over $100 or so, unless I sent the buyer to my listing page. Sedo :td:

My highest offer was $1000 for a .tv I had hand reg'd less than 2 months before. I took it without any questions. I'm kind of a wimp when it comes to negotiating a higher price..thats something I definitely have to work on :guilty:

See this is the problem. No matter how big an initial offer is nobody ever accepts it. He offered you five times your BIN price and you still had to counter at 4, 6, 10 times what he offered you!!

That is why people lowball for the first offer. Because there is no possible way anybody will accept the first offer or counter with anything close to it. It is always 'they offer x, so i counter 10 times x'. They offer 2x and i counter 6x. Then you lose the sale.

Seems stupid to me. Great that it worked out this one time but I bet everybody who does this has tons of regrets for turning down good offers trying to squeeze more money out of the bidder.

On a non-priced domain - ยฃ 500 = $ 1,000 ish

On a priced domain - $ 1,000 (which was the minimum price set)

most my first offers tend to be in the $60 to $ 200 range

One good thing about the sedo offer process now is you can see which country the offer is coming from and you can see when the person joined sedo :tu:

If they just joined the same month then it "may" mean they are a potential enduser.

$1000...

Nice...but, a fast check of Namebio would have told them this name last sold for $8000...

I won't mention all the $60 offers for the same name...

Skilled lowballers?

Time-wasting chancers, the lot of them...(Ooops - some of them might be you lot...!!....LOl)

My highest offer was 110 euro for .info domain. Later after one month I see the same domain is sold via sedo for 170 euro.

I got $6000 max but unfortunately the deal didn't got successful as the buyer didn't responded after negotiating and accepting. The reason he gave was his wife has given birth to twin babies; one baby girl and one baby boy and also said he will be sending payment very soon but later my SEDO rep said there is no response from the buyer and I told to cancel the deal and re-list my domain for sale.

I got a $200 offer on one of my LLL.coms earlier this year as well -- I replied to the offer with "In your dreams noob"

Got another lowball yesterday -- countered with $1,234,567 and "this is my final offer"
