Hi Everyone,

I own a domain name that has pretty good traffic:

Oct 2009 6,857
Sep 2009 6,659
Aug 2009 6,700
Jul 2009 5,541
Jun 2009 5,054
May 2009 4,468
Apr 2009 4,245
Mar 2009 5,159
Feb 2009 4,776
Jan 2009 4,952
Dec 2008 4,190

All traffic is natural traffic. (not adult, no idn, no hyven. .com)
Its just a good typo.

Now the things is that my broker advised me to sell it for $400,- because there is a google
block on the domain.

I am willing to sell the domain but had offers in the past of 800,- / 1200,-
now, due to the recession and the google block. Do you think the $400,- is just?

kind regards,

Faisj

Is it a good typo of a TM?

If so, you'd be lucky to get $400 for it.

There must be a good reason why Google has a block on it.

What is it earning parked? Really that's the only thing that matters to valuate it since it's Google banned.

My 10cents - I would dump such an obvious TM - JMHO.
You say $100 per month parking how long has it been at NameDrive - takes google about 60 days to ban a name there. I have two domains that have been google banned (not TM previous owner violated adsense terms) and I've learned you'll quickly run out of places to park that use Google feed - which will leave you with secondary poor performing feeds or Yahoo.
Trying to get google to un-ban a domain name is next to impossible and in your case of an obvious TM it would be impossible.

If you are buying existing domain, try to type site:domainname.com in google. If there are no results, its not listed in google.
However, if you buy banned domain/website, you can develop it into something useful (be sure to follow google webmasters guidelines) and 'request reconsideration' (that option is available from your google webmaster panel). That proces can take couple of weeks. I managed to list on google all my websites which where banned due to previously websites crated by old owners.
