Ok, so over at greatdomains, cyberspace.com is listed at 500K.

Isn't this a little.......silly? Cyberspace as a word doesn't really seem to be used nearly is unilaterally as say "the internet". Heck, cyber fraud is probably used more often.

So, would you pay, or even consider paying this amount?

Better yet, what is your appraisal of something like this?

To me, I would say 50 to 75K at best, but at this point, and this may be daft, it would be more of a nostalgia thing.

Cyberspace, so huge. That's more than Internet...unlimited.

This domain can be applied in a portal website? A leading ebusiness/high-tech company?

At least, Cyberspace.com is a premium domain.

Cyberspace is definitely a yesterday word...cyber in general is a severely outdated word, with probably the only exception being cyber sex. I'm sure when that name was originally listed with GD, it probably was worth quite a lot, and it still pretty much is, but it will definitely never go for a half million. I don't think they ever update the prices.

GreatDomains is notorious for overpricing listed domain names ... and that's why they don't sell too many of them, as well. :guilty: :imho:

It's GreatDomains - you could pick out dozens of names even more over-priced than this (Mostly in the .cc .tv realm :imho: , but even the .org's and .net's are over market by a few hundred percent ;) )
