Has anyone noticed (and I apologize if this has already been brought up) that Ebay has practically hidden the domain name section?

You used to be able to click "Electronics and Computers" from the Main Category list, and BOOM.... there was "domain names"... plain as day! Now when you click "Electronics and Computers", you have to through "Desktop Drives and Components" - then "Technology, Books, and Misc" until finally you reach "Domain Names"!

I just think it's strange, and it's actually affecting the amount of hits I get on my domain auctions! Is anyone else that uses Ebay experiencing this issue?

Have a great night all-

Jenn

I could never find it through directory drill-down, so I usually have to do a search for 'domain name' to get to domains for sale. I don't use e-bay so much as, say, afternic, so this is just me.

I've tried doing that too, and I've found that it doesn't return nearly the amount of domain names that are actually listed!

just out of interest do people have much luck with ebay or afternic?

I see more sales on Afternic. Plus the small ebay charges even for unsuccessful bids eventually add up.

You're not kidding Armstrong! Those "little" charges do add up! I wouldn't say that I am making a killing over there on Ebay, but I do OK.

To give you an example WhiteLion, I just sold 1stAidKit.Com for $26, and Beeped.Com for $46, to name a few. I've used Afternic a couple of times, but haven't sold anything just yet. I think you should probably have a fairly valuable name to list it there because if it happens to sell, there's a 10% sales fee (min. $60)

So, in the end... all of the success just comes down to the domain name you're trying to sell.
