Here have some ideas, give me compliments if you use them

Hello there!! Thanks for dropping by. I have had many ideas brewing in my very imaginative mind for quite some time now and I simply don't have the time to develop them all, so I thought I would pass them on to you lovely people.

Real Heroes or Real Life Saints or Wonderful People etc
Im fed up of reading, seeing or hearing about the latest criminals on the television, internet and in papers. There are plenty of extremely wonderful people out there in our world that never get put in the spotlight. Well I believe that should all change. How about a website (blog perhaps?) dedicated to showcasing these excellent people. There are many examples I can think of and I am pretty sure you haven't heard of many of them.

1. My close friends have raised nerly £3000 for my dads tribute fund, who sadly passed away last year of a terminal illness. This tribute will go to help supporting other families who are also suffering from the same as we did.

3. And many more..!

These sort of people deserve showcasing and praise. I believe a website like this will help unite people all over the world in a joyful and happy manner. One big site of happyness

Charity Events

A website dedicated to showcasing and starting lots of events for charities such as sponsored walks etc. The site can bring latest news regarding various charities and a discussion board for people to offer views, opinions and advice.

How about online events like donating a domain name, share your revenue and more.

Lets really stick our necks out and make the world a better place with the above two ideas.

Last but not least a fun idea!

A contest to find the worlds favourite websites!!! The winners will recieve a spot in the hall of fame. Heres how it works.

A visitor comes to the site. On the homepage they see the latest websites that require voting and comments. The visitor can also submit a site into the contest.

After a certain amount of time the (500?) most highly popular and rated websites will go head to head in polls. Lets say so many websites per poll. Then keep breaking the contest down until there lets say 20 winners.

This site would be fun for absolutely everyone and would offer so much revenue during the contest period its unreal.

Well if anyone uses any of these ideas then don't forget about me and perhaps I could have a chance to help you develop them if I can find the time. I wouldn't mind some of your revenue either for me offering such a great idea to you. :hehe:

Hey cool ideas, especially the first one. I tend to agree the news does not highlight the things that are good in society as often as it should (enter FOX NEWS).

Regarding the third idea, it has been done several times but minus the 'voting' after a given amount of time. For instance, the FWA just picks the highest rated site and deems them 'site of the month'. Another popular one is StyleGala. Of course, I also own one that I am completely rewriting to actionscript 3.

Hmm but is that on a global scale. I mean can lets say 17 year old kelly from myspace come on and say "myspace is coolest i vote it" and perhps bob from amatuer game making community wants gaming world to be his favourite etc? Because thats what I am proposing. A contest with literally thousands of websites entered going head to head. It would be like website idol. And the public choose it.

I think thats slightly different to the websites you posted from what I see? I will take a much more in depth look at them in a bit though.

Yes I guess that could be a develop-able idea.

I have a feeling it will end up looking like Time's Top 25 list though in the end (assuming the general public catches wind of it).

Hehe not if a fair approach was used. Smaller unknown websites and highly popular websites will be categorised to give all sites a fair chance of winning and being the hall of fame. So all big sites like facebook and amazon may very well end up going head to head in the same elimination polls.

Thats where the trick is and I think the big popularity factor. So many infamous websites could be turned famous overnight with the help of this.

Heres an idea and an excellent free way for webmasters to get lots of backlinks and traffic to their websites. When a webmaster signs up they can add a new website. The system automatically crawls their site and matches their content with other websites in the database. The webmasters then place a line of code into their HTML used to display other sites of the same kind, similar to adsense. So in other words automatic link exchange. Since two sites are automatically linked on each other thats another backlink. Everytime a visitor refreshes the page another backlink and traffic etc
