Help!

Hi everyone! I am wanting to transfer a domain out of 1and1.com. However the problem is currently this is a domain website that is active and hosted. If i were to transfer it out to another registrar, during the 10 days of transfer will my website be down and unaccessible?

Considering that I never changed the nameserver when it's undergoing the transfer.

No, while you initiate and wait for your domain transfer, the nameservers will remain as they are at the old registrar. They will also copy over to the new registrar automatically in most cases. Thus, your site should be fine during this time.

Make sure you've got a backup copy of your site if the transfer procedure doesn't go smoothly .
