Help needed on server settings

Hello,

I have got a domain name and hosting on godaddy. I bought a server from 1and1.co.uk

I changed the name server settings to

NS59.1AND1.CO.UK
NS60.1AND1.CO.UK

(1and1 provided this info)

Everything is working fine. I can get access to my site no problem.

But there is a problem somewhere.


I have got an application which is set to check a file on the domain name. Before I changed the dns settings it was working fine but now it is not working.

I was wondering 2 things.

Can this be

1- because I change the name server settings to another provider
2- because when I log in to my account throw plesk I got redirected to another url.

I write www.myurl.com:8443 and go to https://s111111.onlinehome-server.info:8443/ (instead of 111111 I get another number)


If I change the name server settings to my own nameserver will the problem solve?

How long ago did you change the settings and this application is on your desktop, correct?

Hello,

I have got a windows application. It checks the other users ip throw the domain.

I changed the dns settings about 5 days ago.

Everything is working except the program.

the program is set to check the ips on

www.mydomain.com/ip.txt

I go to the control panel of server. I can see that there are other ips recorded. (this can only happen if someone puts the application on.) this means everything is working except the application is not doing what is supposse to do after checking the ip.

I changed the dns settings back to the old hosting. Everything worked fine.

No idea where the problem is

I just realized the problem might be the permissions.
I am using plesk so it is different than my other control panel. I will check that

I was about to say permissions until I got to the bottom and you had already thought about that. With you switching that definitely sounds like the case. Double check those and we'll go from there.

The problem was permission.
