do you have the guys email address or im contact? if so email his isp etc then if he does do it you can use the logs etc etc
problem with logging his ip is that if hes not the only visitor its going to be hard to find isnt it

What is running on your system? apache, windows? Contact your webhost and tell them you have recieved threats and want to know if their servers are protected against the latest vunrabilities.

Are you running anyscripts on your site? cgi, php,asp etc? if they are yours you may want to check them for security flaws or if they are someone elses confirm with them that they have been tested for security flaws.

Make a backup of your site. just incase..

But dont give in to those threats, i wouldnt worry to much about it cause script kiddies only ever deface sites or delete them in which case you have a backup.

P.S Logging his ip wont be much help to you, plus you may already have access a raw log dump on your host...

Ask him for his domain - just to see if he left his info in the whois.

Make a backup and change your password to something more complicated.

Perhaps then if anything happens worry about it.
Some people will say anything to get something spontanously.
Why would he list his contact info and website with you after
knowing you'd handle his account? These people dont want
to be identified.

If you can trace his IP, you can report him to his ISP.
