Was told if you can't get a direct email to the decision maker, ask for it.

How do I ask the general email?:

"Hi,

Got a decision maker I could email to?"

You can find them using the company website, Google, LinkedIn etc. I usually go for the CEO and/or Business Development Manager. You dont email them and ask, you do the research yourself.

IMO you ( or any inquirer ) will need a brief yet strong and polished initial email to avoid the companies' spam folder.

In all likelihood the initial email may be read by a secretary or an administrator to the addressee and at that point the email's fate is determined - forwarded upwards and onward or, determined to be not of
significant interest or, determined to be spam.

There are so many scraping tools out there now where you can get the persons business email address and direct contact numbers, do a Google search for data scraping tools and Voila......

Personally I would never pitch below a "Head" of department, preferably regional or global head. You then have Directors, VP's, SVP's, MD's and CEO's.

Basically anyone who has a budget and is allowed to spend it without higher authority approval is what you are looking for, job titles change depending on the company and it also depends on how large a company you are targeting so make sure you do your research before contacting them......

This not only applies to Domaining but for any sale........
