To keep things really simple.

I have 3 hosting accounts with 3 separate companies.

I have a video upload script built in Flash and using ASP.net to upload the files.

The script works perfectly on my home computer where i design them. The script also works perfectly on two of the hosts i have, where i have successfully uploaded a 10mb, 20mb and 40mb file with no problems.

The problem i have is the server i need to use for this particular site (my 3rd hosting company) is not uploading the files when there over approx 300kb.

Files under 300kb upload and appear on the server, files over approx. 300kb upload according to my script but never appear on the server.

Are there settings on the server (windows/IIS) that maybe affecting upload. Such as a timeout or a limit on the transfer via http... ???

It's not a scripting error as they work on my server, and two of my other hosts?

Any Advice?

I have asked the techies at the hosting company and they reakon it must be a scripting error :'( :'(

Although 300kb is very low.. different hosting companies have different limits to file upload.

It could be that anything over 300kb is banned, or that over 300kb times out so that its creation is unsuccessful.

I'm afraid that I cannot help you scripting wise, but ask the host what their limits are on file uploads (perhaps php.ini).

Jack is correct, if there is nothing wrong with your scripts and they work on your other webhosts, the best explanation is the server settings. Contact your host and let them know your issue, they should have an explanation.

Thanks, rep added.

I found an article online that says Windows 2003 (which is my server) by default limits the maximum upload amount to 200kb.

The IIS application setting AspMaxRequestEntityAllowed is set to 200Kb by default. This setting affects how much data can be sent as part of one HTTP request to the ASP engine. This potentially places a limit on any third-party COM upload components.

Now i have to wait for the hosts to change it...
