My domain techhelpdesk . org gets more than 40 unique visitors per day. It was a developed site and I won it at TDNAM. I have tried DS and Skenzo (through TC), and also PremiumTraffic; got 2 clicks in more than one week. Now I have parked it at ND, not sure it will perform or not. Please suggest how to monetize the traffic.

Thanks in advance

Hi Techie,
There is very less scope to increase your site rankings on a parked status. However, you could try changing your meta description.I was looking up your site on the google search engine. Your meta description currently reads like.

"Providing technical support, tips and tricks with a focus on spyware, virus, adware removal. Software and hardware suggestions and reviews."

I mean your keywords "tech support" "focus on spyware" "adware removal" are like drops in a huge ocean. Your site is lost in the back pages of a search result.

Try using some niche keywords with very less competing sites. I came up with a few niche keywords which you could use for your meta description.

"Free Windows XP Registry tools"
"Best rated windows registry cleaner"
"Windows XP registry cleanup program"
"Erase Internet Explorer history in windows registry"

After making a meta description rich with keywords, wait for a while, let the search crawlers update the changes. You might see your site do a little bit better. Just my 2 cents.

:)

Hi Varon, Thank you for the advice. I am not maintaining any website on this domain. I purchashed this domain (not website) at TDNAM.com, and what you have seen in search engine is from site that existed before domain expiry. Currently, the domain is parked and if I will not be able to monetize the traffic (~50 visitors daily), I will develop it.

That's just the way it is with domain parking.. I have many domains that get traffic but no clicks.. even after trying all the parking services, mini sites etc...

The sensible option is to just drop them, but it's hard to drop a domain with traffic. I know by experience :) I still hold them cos I think they will work out eventually, but they don't.
I hold the domain that a product called "gemma aide" was downloaded from... Lots of backlinks and a shytload of traffic, but no clicks.. I know I should just drop it but I can't :)

I have the same problem that TalkHost has ... traffic domains that don't get clicks. I don't have time to tweak them, and I don't have the heart to let them go. adsensesandbox.com is an example. Gets traffic. No clicks. I'd sell it .. but same problem .. no time. I bet we are not alone.

I was browsing your site, talkhost, I noticed that when I click on a link, it takes me to another parked site. Did you buy this domain with previous traffic? I think it does hold potential to be developed.

Which site are you referring to Varon?

If you mean www.talkhost.com then I'm afraid it is only a parking site now. It was a fully operational web hosting and domain name provider until several weeks ago... but the kiddy hosts with reseller accounts put paid to that LOL

Talkhost, I was mentioning your site www.talkhost.com, when I click on the ad for webhosting domain names, it takes me to another info.com parked page with links.

So, my question is, are parked pages also running ads of other parked pages? I was checking another sedo parked page, and there too, when you click on some of the ads, it takes you to another person's parked landing page. Very confusing at times.

Okay, Here's another site,a sedo parked page. Now when I click on an ad below which reads breastcancertreatments.biz it takes me to another seemingly parked page.

So does it mean that the guy owning a parked page like breastcancertreatments is paying sedo to get traffic to his site? Or am I mistaken and that is not really another parked page?

Must be other folks paying the parking providers for links in their results.
Will be kinda like the "made for adsense" sites, but looks like they are getting lazy and simply using a parked page. I'm sure it's against the TOS of all parking companys to get traffic this way..
breastcancertreatments.biz is a trafficz parked page. Send trafficz an email and tell them the domain owner is breaking the rules :)

P.S. What is the URL of the parked site you got when you clicked on a talkhost ad?

I'd like to have these kinds of links eliminated from my parked pages.

I had clicked on the 4th ad "Web Hosting Domain Names". It took me to info.com. I'm not sure if thats a parked page. It looks like an actual site but with another set of links.
