I got a letter in the Mail from Microsoft claiming that my domain microgoft.com is generating traffic from there site...

Is this microgoft a copyright of microsoft?

what should i do. THey offer to provide me with the registration fees if I hand over the domain

i have decided to brush them off.. lol, if its not a trade mark of any type, the domain is mine... wtf are they going to sue me for..

How about $100,000.00???? (the penalty for being a squatter)

typos are considered cybersquatting, just look at the numerous decisions agaisnt the holder of typo domains..

And don't forget, if they search micro 00000000 goft 11111 .com they'll come accross this thread with you acting in a way that could only help them.

Microgoft they most be desperate for some more business or have wa too much time on there hands. Ask for a couple g's if they put up a fight give it to them.

And another thing you might like to consider is, despite you handing over this domain, you may still be sued. I would suggest though that, in this instance, this is likely to not be the case considering the size of the organisation. However punch a bear in the nose and you might just get a reaction.....
