Help! IPB error...

I installed it through cpanel, and it gives me this error.... any help?

It isn't a IPB error really, it is a server side thing, honestly best bet is to install it manually its quite simple

Why didnt it work automaticaly? i have another site and instaled it there no problem...

Yes staff, i work on ibextreme.net and invision-it-all.com too and help on a few other sites.

I have no idea why it didn't work automaticly, it should have really. It may be a sql database problem, but i wont go into that as im not certain

thats a config problem for the invsion board

try adding a username and password to the database (via cpaenl)

and editing the config file to match your new username and password

the installer didnt right the config information

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' (Using password: NO)

its trying to connect to mysql with root and no password, this oviously isnt going to work

Indeed, Adam as cracked it.

You will need to check your SQL info more then likely, when you click install it usually automaticly creates a database, so you should check your SQL settings in CP.

And check your conf_global.php is matching the records, more then likely the SQL info is different
