Here is the email that I got from one of my personal parking pages.

Please dont say, "Make me an offer" because it is too broad and I dont want to make an offer you wont respond to. Please give me a price range your willing to let this name go at. I am currently considering a name that is free and very close to my business name, but this site name may be better suited. Please respond soon!!!

I checked out the email address with No Returns on Google.

The Domain Name is TCAinc Dot Com

All other combo's in the .net and .org are taken TCAinc and TCA-inc etc.
Ton's of companies called TCAinc. What would your first price be? I paid reg fee for it so keep that in mind, but I am also in no hurry to sell.

Nice find - urltrends shows it as Online Since: August 12th, 1996 - so that being said then there's a good chance some of the other companies now going by that name may have prefered that one but it was probably taken at the time.

A quick look in Google and there are, as you say - quiet a few possibilities there - I would take a guess and say it may be either the hyphen .com or .net owner that may be enquiring (just a guess of course).

You could ask them for their phone number so you can call them to discuss it - If they give it, then google it and you will see who you are dealing with, then go from there


I'm not going to recommend a price as I have a habit of scaring people away :lol: I'm always looking for that perfect end-user !

So I am not sure what kind of domain that you can get for FREE other than a fresh reg with hosting or something along that line.

There does seem to be alot of sales both on sedo and weekly by buydomains which are in the 2 to 4k limit, I think there must be a reason for this - I recently sold one for 3k but was asking 5.

As always, its a case of how far are you gonna push it...it is difficult when you don't know who's on the other end of the offer - at the same time why sell to the first low offer you get ?, I get $100 to $300 offers regulary, chances are from other domainers.

I say - who dares wins ! Although it can take a very long time and alot of failed potential sales to get a good one :lol:

I recently made an offer on an 3word .com and the guy replied with $1500. LOL. So ya, make your counter offers wisely.

Low $X,XXX was my first reaction.

I would give an offer that I refuse to sell less than 50% after negotiation.

It may scare some people away but there is always the other risk of selling a name too cheap as well.

Sounds like an order to me. He also sounds desperate.

You can counter offer with a very nice asking price and tell him you are not hurried to sell. Something between $5,000 and $25,000 sounds good to me.

No harm in offering whatever you want - although unfortunately for this character, I'd bet that he used a public whois and now a kiter will get it...
Maybe $2,500? Just my gut feel based on the name; nothing scientific.
