Hello, I just received this email from a potential buyer, I need your help because I do not know what to answer, otherwise this should be my first sale if it is realized.

This is email:
Yes, $200 id fine. how do you expect payment, I will not use a credit card over the internet. I can send a check or money order. How am I to be sure I get the domain if I send you a check?

Use an escrow provider and ask the buyer to wire the money to the escrow provider. Payoneer Escrow is a good option for this

I like using a registrar push if the registrar has a market place to facilitate this. It cuts out the need for escrow, and it works with newly registered names as well. It allows you to collect your money in your preferred currency regardless of the means of payment by the buyer. Some registrars even allow for Bitcoin payments.

Another option is Paypal. If the buyer has a Paypal account, they can transfer the funds to you via PP (Assuming the buyer's account already has the funds and you are able to receive PP payments)

I'd avoid PayPal - PP is the scammer's friend, and there is a long history of frauds perpetrated using PayPal, especially in the domain industry. Remember it takes 6 months to confirm a payment using PayPal.

Payoneer Escrow is the best option.

This guy sounds old school - check or money order. Plus it’s only $200. I doubt he’s going for online escrow.

If its a domain you don't mind parting with, take the chance with PayPal all may go well. Other than that play it safe, use escrow or Payoneer.

Based on his statement, I would suggest bank wire through escrow. This way he can go to his local bank branch, make the wire to escrow, then complete the transaction through escrow. He will pay wire fee.

If you and him are US Based I would suggest a USPS Money Order only and cash it at the post office to avoid a fake being sent. I've had a fake sent before so I learned to not accept them anymore unless it's a USPS MO. Once at the PO you can just cash it without worry of a bounced check or fraudulent MO from another provider.
