Hello All!

I am new to the forums here and have been lurking for some time now and just had to post and say hi!

I've been building my portfolio for the last couple of months and now own a staggering 150+ names, all in which where meant for development but now am thinking about selling some. I am still developing a good amount of the domains with multiple test ideas, but, I am thinking of maybe selling somewhere between 20-30 names. I had the names appraised and am very happy with the amounts that came back on both scripted and written appraisals.

I setup a Sedo account about 2 months ago and have had them cash parked just sitting and collecting pennies. I submitted the names for both a Toplevel Listing and a Premium Listing so that they also appear on Greatdomains.com. I'm sure most of you know, but, the Toplevel Listing is where it will will show the listing on the Greatdomains.com site as well as on Sedo, and the Premium Listing also adds it to the once a month auction they hold. The once a month auction sells a good amount of names at some pretty good prices. So I figured I would submit both and see what happens, like I said the names are pretty decent names and are worth a pretty penny.

So a couple of days later I get rejected for the Premium Listing, which didn't surprise me consider I was holding onto my really top notch names that are in my portfolio. Well, its been almost 3 weeks now and it still says pending for the Toplevel Listing, which is what I really wanted. I fit all the requirements they have and it also said I will have a response in 2-3 days. I can't resubmit them cause the script won't let me, and I have sent in numerous emails through their contact us page.

I don't know what to do, there is no contact phone number or any other way of contacting them except through the contact us. I don't know if something is wrong with my account and I should try and make a new one and go through all the re-verification stuff (which would be a pain).

Anyone else ever heard of anything like this? Or had this happen to them?

What other good sites can I try out besides Sedo? I'm really getting turned off with them. I also have them on the tdnam.com with godaddy but honestly I don't think that site will have the dollar amount I'm looking for considering it is totally commercialized. I have read up on a couple that some of you have recommended, but was just curious if anyone knew any like Greatdomains.com where you can just register directly with them.

Anways, I can't believe I just stumbled upon this board, I should have seen this place a long time ago heheh.

My guess is that your domains are just not good enough to poke through their criteria. Give us an example of a few just so we might be able to weigh in a little better (or pm me) If they should be considered, I have a bunch of internal contacts I could be pursuaded to give you access to.

You may want to try selling on the domain forums here. Finding end-users takes time and luck. As far as parking, I have found that individual domains will perform at their peek at different parking providers. For example, adult domains at company A, insurance domains at company B, etc. You could check out the parking forum for more information.

I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I submitted names that fit their criteria (or at least I thought) almost 2 weeks ago and it also says my applications are "still pending"...what does that mean? Is there still a chance to get a top domain listing?

A few names submitted..

PolicyAct,com
FederalMandates,com
TrafficAdvisories,com
wiggled,net
PokerStats,info

Maybe I'm just partial, but I think I have some very straightforward names, no longer lengthwise than a few others I've seen listed and they make sense and have some nice Estibot stats. Yet I'm seeing names like "trafficdad.com" and "quietly.info" ARE making the cut....could someone please tell me what the h*ll a traffic dad is???
