Hello Ladies and gents,

Just thought I'd stop by an Introduce myself. I'm new to the whole domain business, I've just started reading a few books and as an excited newbie, I signed up to go-daddy and purchased a few, maybe crappy type in Domains at registration price. ah what the hell im new to this. got to start somewhere and its all a learning curve right?

what i did want to ask, is when searching for a keyword domain, how accurate are search results on say, google keyword planner. say I was looking for "mobile repair" and Google came back saying just for that keyword there average monthly search of 3,600, how exact is that?

and if mobilerepair.com was available, would it be worth purchasing with that search information?

Google Keyword Planner and other tools is just for reference only.
Many members here sold domains at high $,$$$ even if the domains have nothing related to keyword.

Thanks for the Reply, I have parked a few of my domains on godaddy. But another Idea I had was signing up to blogger, creating a free account adding a lil content and ads and seeing how that performs. What do you think?

One thing to keep in mind is that high monthly searches don't always equal type in traffic. I have some high search volume keyword domains parked that get almost 0 type in traffic.

@Viper Domains thanks for that info fella I'm all new to this and I'm even thinking of starting a blog. So hopefully you guys can literally see that I'm starting with only a little knowledge from the books I've read, this forum and comment. All trail and error..
What I need to look up more is not just thinking up keyword domains and seeing if there available but looking into this buying expired domains and ones with traffic.

Also, if you are going to develop a site, I'd suggest buying hosting (which you can get very cheap) and use self hosted wordpress installs for your sites/blogs. That way if you ever want to sell the websites they will be self hosted sites, which buyers prefer, and will bring a lot more value than free hosted site such as blogger.
