Hello everyone!

Although I got carried away and made a post without introducing myself recently, I thought that mistake should be rectified.

I go by Biff (my real first name is ambiguous and it caused many fights on the playground) and I am addicted to buying domains. I live in the USA and started this addiction in the mid 90's when I acquired a domain for my personal use that was kinda quirky; but as the bubble began to swell it started getting offers for a buyout. Being young and hungry I sold it far below what it eventually sold for (sound familiar!?!?!)

Not too long after that happened the bubble burst. Most of my decent names were liquidated a couple years later and I got back into construction since building things, no matter how small or inexpensive, filled a creative need in me.

In '07 the big 'C' reared its nasty little head and I was given 3 months to live (never believe what they say or give up) so I liquidated everything and partied like it was 1999. Actually I gave most of it away and began looking forward to the transition to the other side since I am sure it is going to be a hoot. Nine years later and I'm still waiting!

In December an operation to clean up some old damage from the chemo made it so I could not do anything too physical for a couple months which put me back in front of the computer and the addiction kicked in...hard. That crazy .99 info sale pushed me over the edge...yes, I think a quality .info will increase 10 to 15% a year in value. I did hold on to some names all these years, mainly for sentimental reasons but after a 6 week binge I guess I am back in the biz...just wish I had a buyer or two!

I ended up here from a search about parking providers since one of the several I used for some of the new domains did not provide the content they deserved (I have now learned from this site I may not have left them parked long enough).

It looks as though many people posting here are generous with their knowledge and that is refreshing. Hopefully I will have useful input from time to time but don't rely too much on my predictions. An old buddy began buying numeric domains when I was still looking for a great BBQ domain to buy as a long term investment. I told him that he was wasting his money spending $35 (that what it used to be) on those NNN.COM domains that meant nothing. Today he is a multi-multi millionaire and won't even return my calls...whatever. :)

Thank you all for the words of welcoming. Tried to do a little drop catching today but not too many good names made it down to the bottom...hope some of you had some good luck!

Very true. Luck and angels have been working overtime on my case...money is a good thing to have but real happiness comes from other places.
