Header changed !! WOW

[Keral_Patel]

I am seeing a new header layout right now.

It looks cool and neat. And more banner space also :D

am just guessing what will be there in place of aution countdown when the auction is over.

I always try to design the site so it's still usable at 800x600 resolution. We do have a small but significant number of users still at that resolution.

It looks pretty good how it is...the logo is a bit more clear now. The only thing i would say is the "Buy, Sell, Discuss Domain Names" bit could do with being a little more bold.

Apart from that its fine

The new header looks good. The only suggestion I'd make is to valign the chat info to the center.

all the text in a logo should be as big, or bigger than the normal font size of the website. The logo looks like you have taken the gif image, opened it in photoshop, then resized it (using image->resize), which as "softened" the text, making it harder to read, and also smudges it into itself. The logo looks so insignificant compared to the size of the rest of the site, even the buttons, such as "post reply" have a bigger font size, and are just meatier than the logo.

I honestly think e39m5's idea makes the header look far too crowded.

Why add a box?
It already stands out enough, looks fine in my opnion.

Ron, Could you stop the 728px x 90px banners?
They really spoil the layout IMHO
