nutzdaddy Thanks. Rep added. High $XX is what I paid for it, means no revenue in recent future.

When I look at this I see HD View, which is to say that this is a very solid 4 letter .com. Not necessarily pronounceable straight off, nevertheless, this has inherent quality with the HD for its popularity and possible usages. Other acronyms for HD are Heavy Duty, Hard Disk and High Density. I would put this in the $25 range for a reseller but I wouldnโ€™t consider selling unless I found an end user; I do suggest you hold on to it for now.

Best wishes,
Kimmy

Thank you guys for the appraisals.

hDVD, an HDTV extension to DVD http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVD

HDVD is much much better, but there are 2,720,000 results for "high definition video" and mine may find an end user like hDVD

Now that LLLL.com is hot your domain is worth holding on to. There are so may acronym possibilities. As far as the value is concern maybe in the mid $xx for now. It could worth more a year from now.

Thank you xman. Rep added for you.

I don't understand why we tend to pay more in auctions. I paid high $XX but obviously it is not worth that much right now.

Paying more in auctions...

I wondered myself and looked into it. Its three steps:

1. If someone else once bought/owned something we think it is more valuable somehow.

2. Other bidders validate this feeling

3. Natural competitive instincts take over

jacal1 yes these are thoughts that come to my mind. Specially competitive instincts.

I guess the reason behind it is that when we go to auction we're not competing with domainers alone. There are end users in auction looking for bargain. What's low price for the end-users could be a high price for domainers. Most of the time you'll see LLLL.com with the price between $xxx - $xxxx in auction and when you get it appraise in the forums it could only worth low $xx - mid $xx.

The appraisal you get with HDVU.com in the forum is only an estimate of what the domainer think about your domain. Your domain could be worth much much more when you find the right buyer.
