.tv Have you seen my laptop anywhere??

Folks......I am 34 and until the age of 30, I not only needed a big tv in my living room, I needed an even bigger one in the bedroom with cable and video of course.

Those days are over in the sense that I still have all those things, but for the last four years I just dont turn them on any more......well, hardly anyway.....

And if someone moved the telly out my bedroom I would not have a heart attack like I would have a few years ago....

Today I have the desk top in my study and the laptop for my bedroom.......I have access to everything and more that I could ever get from the telly...I am an information zombie and a VOD freak........

Am I alone??? Hell no!!! The more and more people I speak to, the more I find think just like me...and I bet you the 18 - 30 crowd are even more crazy than us 30+ crowd....

.TV or TV.COM - that is the only question

Indeed.....there are alot of issues on this topic....alot of issues.......I have a name going through escrow right now for a TV.COM for 7k........the .TV is gone too...interesting to see if both end up with the same user (almost 100% sure) which will be the main site and which will be the redirect .........!!!

Unknown.......I see a lot quite a few that redirect to tv.com. I have yet to personally see one that redirects to .tv instead. (But that is just me, it could happen)

I am writing a blog on this at the moment...the issue will always remain a question.

I think the short term trend is to do either tv.com or .tv, but tv.com will win out because a critical mass of people using the Internet do not get, understand, or know about .tv.

Because of price, obviously tv.com is attractive, but I think in the long term it will eventually be looked at as very amateurish (just as our friends at truenuff.tv said about using tv as a subdomain, in a recent interview with allthings).

In the end, if a company had a choice, it would go for .tv. heck, even anheuser busch got that one right (bud.tv) despite being the first to fail to launch a successful video site with a $30 million budget.
