Have perfect KeyWords.com domain for an existing business. Would love people's ideas

I recently acquired perfect "keywords.com" for a friend's business. He has a new site where his business name does not explain his business and google barely knows about him but he can't change his business name. Is there any tricks with making a second site with the great keywords domain and linking or??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Best idea will be rewarded with some NP$.

If you're just acquired it, take a few weeks to monitor the stats on the keyword domain.

If it gets direct navigation ("type in") traffic, or traffic from existing links, just redirect (301 - permanent) the keyword domain to his existing one.

OR

If it doesn't get that much traffic on it's own, develop the keyword domain with unique information on the keyword subject, and direct people seeking the product or service to the business site. The idea being to create a site which gets well indexed and sets him up as an authority, and sends active leads to the other site.

Not too much type in traffic but for seo and search engine purposes I believe I should develop somehow and link to his real site. Is it dumb to have an identical/duplicate sites? I know Google likes new content but would it know they are the same (as then I wouldn't have to link them)? Any comments greatly appreciated.

Yes - bad idea! At least one of them will get penalized. That's why I suggested developing one as an informational "resource" site and the other as the business site. Complimentary but unique content on each.
