Have a .avi, need a compressed .swf

Hey,
I ripped a dvd (i own rights to this dvd) and made it into a .avi file. I now need to take this .avi file and condense it down to a 6mb+ .swf file for viewing on the web...

Ive tried about 15 different programs and have not been able to find one that works. Any suggestions?

Open up Macromeda (Adobe) Flash 8 or 9. Create a new document and set it's dimensions to the dimensions of the video. Then go to File > Import Video. Chose 'Embed video in SWF and play in timeline.'

Thanks alot. I kinda did what you recomended... imported the video to my library, created a new symbol, insert the video into the symbol, then inserted the symbol into my movie.
