We also received this email. I am confused by this thread...what is there to beware of? I mean, how is he scamming users or what not?

We were interested in selling a domain name to this individual. Any suggestions on how to proceed with such a situation?

I am new to buying/selling domain names and would appreciate any insight on this matter. Thanks.

Scam

Do NOT do business with this obviously fake individual. The only thing they are after is that you go and use their 'valuation'/'appraisal' company. He also links to 'thenamepros.com' (notice the 'the'?) with some shady (obv. fake again) discussion going on where he gets recommended to use (his own) company for the valuation.
The way they make money out of this scam is when you would use their valuation company to value the domain.

Sad.

So I repeat: BEWARE OF ANTHONY KRUDINGER, he is fraudulent. (Also for SEO purposes)

I think it won't help you. There is no such practice to show a proof of legitimate entity. I don't ask you to send me any payments. We will do the business via escrow.com. What are your risks? I'm a busy person. You need my help so I won't spend my valuable time to prove something.

If you have some concerns just sell your names yourself. After 2-3 months with no sales you will kindly ask me to help you.

Moreover, my accountant and tax services always ask for valuation certificates :-). On the other side, it's very important for me in terms of reselling too. Of course, we must engage a valuation company with a REAL manual service. So I will only accept valuations from independent sources I and my accountant trust.

SO PLEASE BE AWARE !!! He wants that You pay for domain appraisal, and probably will tell You that he is not satisfied and so on, and he will rip You with some amount which You payed for Domain appraisal on that link.

This should be reported and spreaded.

I received the same email- he offered $9,000 for my domain and claimed to have a budget of $35,000 for 5-6 domains. I recommended a valuation service and he said he didn't trust them, then promoted some other service (probably one he works for).

I replied "I know you're trying to scam me, don't email me back". He never did.

More appraisal scams. Take the emails they send you including any where theyt ask you too get an appraisal, and send it to their hosting provider and domain registrar. The scam is hard to prove, but the spam is easy since they send out the same emails to everyone. If you want to shut them down send spam reports. PM me if you don't know how to do that.

As title - had email this morning from someone, although sounds more like a company, asking about a domain which I've recently listed on Sedo.

I'm pretty sure it's legit - they use a company email and the email is short and direct to the point. They want me to email my desired price for consideration for the domain and any others that I have for sale.

The domain is quite generic and has a fairly high appraisal. Just don't really know how to play this now. I'm a fast learner but still abit of a newbie. I have a price in mind but don't want to scare them off.

Should I get them to make me an offer or just set out a price and see what happens?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey Missy I've gotten a scam email similar to that before. They ask if you would like USD or Euros and if you have any other domains for sale. Then they ask for an appraisal. It may be legit but be careful. This is one of those scam emails I copied off another forum.

Missy, they asked you for a price directly. I would give them one and tell them its negotiable.

Ok, newbie, now listen up. Whatever you do, and this is important. If they request ANYTIME you pay upfront for an appraisal from one of their "trusted" appraisers, DO NOT do it. That is a scam.... and IMO I think your so-called offer is all about the "appraisal" they want you to buy. Once you pay for the appraisal, their offer just vanishes..Be careful!
