Handdrawing Tips

Hi,
I am really intrigued with my upcoming project for a DJ's album cover. I have some great ideas. And then I have photo shop cs3, fireworks cs3, and AI 8...I am thinking to get all nice, I will have to hand draw it (for my first time!!!), scan it, and edit it. There will be a lot of black and white, and lots of color. How will I be able to scan my pencil nicely (should I trace over with pen?) and how will I make the colors and everything look so nice.

Comeon guys...I need this ASAP, should I color the unscanned copy, and then scan it? Should I get a different program...Please help.

you have all those very expensive programs and you don't even know the basics? and then ask to get a different program? You know, warez is wrong...

anyway, you can do it any way you want, scan and autotrace drawing then colour it, trace the drawing with bezier curves, draw and paint it on paper and then scan... there's not a right way to do it, you should do whatever fits your purposes.

On a side note, hurrying people to help you on a Sunday evening... people isn't here just to help you, they (we) do it when they(we) can or are able to. Just an advice from an older and experienced guy
