advice Hand Reg Strategies?

What kinds of things do you guys look at before hand regging a domain?
Do you have a strategy that you would work your way through?

I tend to be quite impulsive with the names i have regged and often it will end up being a load of C*%p

Even if i go through dropped names, quite a few will catch my eye and i will reg them.

Are there any strategies in play here?

The first rule about hand regging is you don't talk about hand regging
Me, myself and I also love impulsive buys and end up ejecting loads of crap after that.

Don't handreg stuff you like, handreg stuff others would want to buy.

When it comes to handregging I have one good strategy : wait for Dotster's coupons

If its not a sellable product or service and a dotcom I don't reg it with few exceptions, I leave all the made up brandables to the other 5 million domainers, so they don't have to fear me they can have that niche all to themselves, They are much better than me at that for sure
