fewer demands, hard to sell for high price.

But I like to own a few just for the fun of it.

Neat for development (perhaps you should own the "natural"/logical extension -- e.g. Yahoo owns both del.icio.us and delicious.com), but resale is really hit or miss

blo.gs was sold for a good profit. You can be creative with a few, especially the ones like .US, .IS, .AM, ...

.saves.us
.helps.us
.needs.us
.loves.us
...

sure you could get lot of users in ad-sponsored subdomain providing.

Condominiu.ms
I think over time these will increse in value. The value of these domain names not in the "hack" form would be worth millions. What are these worth...?
The thing I like about domain hacks is that all you need to type into the browser is the domain name with a "dot" in it. Domain hacks are shorter than nonhacks. Shorter is better right! It's hard to find a good domain hack right now. They are almost all taken, so I think alot more people than myself are buying domain hacks. I tried to find many combos of hacks, only to find them registered already. I would have loved to have owned "Inter.net". I'm sure I could have found someone to buy it from me for more than Reg. Fee. Many .us domain hacks are taken. We will see more and more domain hacks in the near future. I'm holding onto mine for the long term. There are only so many domain names that you can have for any given keyword without getting some crazy, long, off subject domain name like computerprogramsforlefthandedpeople.com. So, I was happy to have been able to reg. ComputerProgra.ms. Hacks look pretty good typed into the browser. It's just the keyword. What do you guys think Inter.net would sell for just as a domain name? More than reg.fee? I think so. I would pay more than reg. fee for that one. I think Veg.as sold for $1000 on Ebay. If LasVeg.as was availible to reg., I would put my money down.
Buy'em up, go crazy and let's burn this place down.
Have fun and good luck.

latino.com.es
chinese.com.es ........
..............................

Any of these could be developed easily, don't you think?

I'll add a few:

taran.tu.la

I find it important that the word (keyword) b4 the '.' have value in itself.

you're all making profits on Islam, how dare you? :hehe:

foru.ms and may have its value even, I can see some potential. It's more brandable than a very long name with -forum.com after it.

I agree about hacks being "brandable". Forums is a generic keyword that is easy to remember, but IMO not very brandable. Foru.ms is different and more unique than just the keyword.
Forums.com (great generic keyword domain, but generic and ordinary)
Foru.ms (also generic keyword but unique and short) Brandable?? Yes IMO

Many domain hacks have been bought, so we will see more and more of them pop up.

until more domain hack names are developed i dont think they will hold much value

deli.cio.us (sp? never know where the dots are) is leading the way, but i cant think of any other site that uses one

There's also script.aculo.us.

I think a big problem with hack domains like this is never being able to remember where the dots go - especially with de.licio.us. If I didn't have the thing bookmarked, I'd never be able to find my (online) bookmarks.

If the hack only includes the ext. and not and dots or - inbetween the rest of the name, it's not that hard to remember. De.licio.us is harder to remember than just Delicio.us, see what I mean.
