My first purchase at TDNAM, at 10 bucks, and then when I go to check out, they add on a whopping 40$ to make it 49.99 - didnt have a clue about that ....where is that extra 40$ coming from??

Are these drops that TDNAM picks up, cause you can submit your own to auction aswwell...please help out the dazed and confused - me!!!

And does anyone think that GYMRATS.TV is worth $50???

Thanks

its a reg fee- you reg it for a year when you get it- thats they way tdnam works- i guess the 19.99 sale doesnt apply-

someone addicted to working out........

make a great social community for those who are crazy about fitness.......

I will speak with a rep at GD about the price....i dont think its fair that they did not make it clear that the GD pricing didnt apply.....

Or maybe I just didnt bother with the small print - I didnt , so we will see what happens

BTW , one for the books - UTENSILS.TV went for $405 today - not me.......on TDNAM

They are not actually "adding a fee", but renewing the name for 12 months.

I assume Millers purchased that name at a TDNAM Expired name auction and he must have been the only bidder on the name.

TDNAM are auctioning "Expired" domains that are actually in the last 9 days of the Redemption Period for a domain name. Thats why you can "win" an auction and the owner can still reclaim the name (having to pay a fee and renew for a year).

Also, GoDaddy renewal pricing for .tv's is $39.99 and has been this for ages. When they do "Specials" on .tv regs - they are for regs only. So currently you can reg a name at GoDaddy for $19.99/year and next year it will cost $39.99 to renew.

So, winning a name at a TDNAM auction is the price you win it for plus a renewal of 1 year.

Thanks Heroes, you are right, I was the only bidder aswell as what you stated about the redemption period thing and original owner rights....but right now GODADDY are allowing you to reg for upto 10 years at 19.99 - so the 39.99 stings a little (alot)

Well neither would I have except that 12 years ago, I was a bodybuilding fanatic, I would eat sleep think about the next workout and thus became familiar with the term.......the days I would not workout to give the muscles the actual time to grow, I would sink into a depression

Now I sink into a depression cause I look down and cant see my big toes!!!

So basically anyone shooting up steroids would know immediately what a gymrat is......!! Do a quick search on wiki

I have bought a few domains at TDNam & it has always been their policy to add the price of 1 year renewal to the Check Out price instantly.
I wish Godaddy renewal fees were for more competitive like their reg fee where we get regular discounts like the $9.99 or $19.99 but i guess renewals is where they make the most cash so things wont change there.

Regarding Gymrats.tv
I personally would not touch it as it is not that well known a term & it is a limited market imho
The only way i would go near a domain like this would be if you had some development idea, maybe a forum for Gym fanatics?
Of course 'Gym' domains are not a subject i know too much about so i may be completely wrong on this one, Good Luck whatever you do.
