Nobody said anything about a beer. That changes the picture completely. :)

No problem. You can have Gym.com for $521 + 1 beer, but the pizza is $500,000.

surely this is fake listing. no one will list LLL.com for $520 IMO
But you are the luckiest person in the world if it's real listing.

and take a look at their :
twitter account, last tweet was in 2012
facebook page, their last post also in 2012

So your theory is that since they haven't updated their website it must mean that they've now become so desperate that they're going to want to drop their $xxx, xxx domain for $520? Somehow, I have a feeling that that won't turn out to be the case. :)

Yes or the exact opposite.
2 other possibilities:
1.Most people are unaware of domaining and don't know how to value their own domains, they valued their domain poorly.
2.The person/company who owns this domain name doesn't need the extra cash since it's nothing to them so they don't mind to sell it for a low price.
That way they sell it quickly(5 minutes).

Indeed. Most chances that the buy now listing was made by mistake/error/IDN/other and it's not gym.com
I doubt it is gym.com as well.
But there is a very slight chance that this is true and is gym.com.
There were steals in the past but it is very rare.
We would have to wait and see.

Come on! They could sell it for $xx,xxx in 5 minutes. I agree that there are lots of people that don't know the value of their domains but when it comes to a 3 letter one word domain, I would put the probability of that at 0. I doubt that you could even find an owner of a garbage 3 letter domain that hasn't been bombarded with offers from domainers.

Sorry to hear that, that would have been an awesome deal and chance to cash in. Better luck next time.

yes probably it was a mistake or something. We´ll see how it ends.

You don't have to be psychic to see that this one doesn't end well.

Something I've learned along the years, and not just relative to domaining: if it sounds (or looks) too good to be true, it is.

Well, other than a few moments of his life, he didn't lose anything, so you may as well take a punt in hope that it may pull off. If you had the chance to buy the domain for $500 and you didn't, and someone else snapped it up, you'd kick yourself (and other inanimate objects).

Didn't someone grab Music.TV for $50 not too long ago? Gotta be in it to win it.

A year ago I have bought bcd.com via bodis.com for $1,000. The strange thing was: even when I sent the payment, it was still available for sale. Of course the domain was not listed by the owner, so I didn't received it.
My rewards:

1: Experience
2: -$30 (currency conversions)

I can't imagine how many times did the newbs (like me) bought the domain. And why was that good for Bodis...

The problem with Afternic, Sedo, ParkingCrew, and a few other sites that provide parking is that they do not remove listings until a new owner of the domain tries to add it to their account. They do not do checks of ownership regularly. We have had to e-mail several of them to inform them that we now owned domains that were listed for other companies or individuals. WHOIS and DNS changes frequently on domains as well as privacy, so it's not easy for them to be as up to date with the info. Plus a lot of them do not require to have DNS pointed at their nameservers to be sold, and if you are selling a domain with a website and want to get more exposure to sell it you can't change DNS to reflect every site that you want to sell it at. So, with that being said good luck with this. (Usually if it's too good to be true, it usually is.)

-Best Regards.
