I mentioned long ago that their name was pejorative. They’re probably getting away from it the same way KFC fled from the now pejorative term “fried.”

That's one reason why I think something like Develop.com would be a better choice.

But I don't think that's going to happen, and what has been said so far points to a non-English word, likely a short pronounceable that means absolutely nothing, a la SEDO, but probably 3 or 5 letters to stand apart.
