GreatDomains.com - Please Post Accepted and Denied Names

One of my names, PinotGrigiot.us, was recently accepted by GreatDomains.com after having several names denied. I had a small thread going about this before, but I'd like to start a larger thread where everyone can post which names they've submitted to Great Domains and the outcome. This may help us get a better understanding of how they select names.

I just discovered that a .tv domain I reg'd in January (for standard fee) is listed on GreatDomains. A former owner must have gotten it accepted there. Has anyone else made this sort of felicitous discovery?

I had recently gotten an offer for it through Sedo and was on the verge of closing the deal for a decent profit, but only a tiny fraction of the GD price. The buyer can still accept my last counteroffer and close the deal, I guess ... oh well. Now I'm not sure whether to hope he does or doesn't.

If you have a buyer ready willing and able to purchase, don't let a good thing go unless you are pretty sure you can or will get a better offer.

Just because GD lists a name for a price, doesn' mean anyone is willing to actually pay that price. I think GD is a little biased on .tv names as well, since their parent company operates the registry. It's in their best interest to make them look valuable, even if they are priced too high to sell.

I've found that sellers remorse from not selling a name I've never gotten another offer on, is worse than the remorse of knowing I could have gotten a little more on one that actually sold.

I don't think they sold every day. I have heard that they have sold only a few names (with good figures) two or three years ago.. But all that .tv and .cc listings looks only like a big bubble to me .. just my opinion tho..

There have been a couple threads started since this one was started asking this question and no one has reported a sale through GreatDomains. My understanding is that GreatDomains used to be a major seller of domains but I have seen no reports of recent sales at all.

I'm still interested to know, with all this ridiculous hype about Great Domains, how many of you have received offers or sold domains via Great Domains?

Personally I think acceptance of a domain by Moniker is much more relative.

At least they sell a lot of domains at top prices.
