One of my names, PinotGrigiot.us, was recently accepted by GreatDomains.com after having several names denied. I had a small thread going about this before, but I'd like to start a larger thread where everyone can post which names they've submitted to Great Domains and the outcome. This may help us get a better understanding of how they select names.

lol.. When some1 submits a name to them, they just have to accept or not. The domain owner knows what to do with the name better & he doesn't need words of wisdom from greatdomains suggesting "It'd be appropriate to park here or develop a site.."

That question has been discussed probably 1000 times on Namepros. I think everyone realizes that GreatDomain prices are way overpriced. Most people submit their names for the exposure, and like myself, just dream a name will be sold, even for a price much less. I don't anyone really thinks they will sell their domain names for the listed price. :hi:

I don't think GreatDomains is looking for reseller buyers....so $x,xxx - $xx,xxx for a single-word could happen, for sure.

But it would be interesting to hear about recent sales...I mean, has anyone here actually sold one thru them?

Even if I sell at the reserve price it is still a good sale
But I don't think a lot of sales take place at GD

Just sent back contract for Overview.tv ($5,000/$2,500). This is a funny one. I had submitted it, then waited and waited. I submitted it again, only to have it rejected. A week later, I get the email telling me they have accepted it to be listed!

The person who rejected you a second time probably forgot to delete it from the queue and when it came up on another reviewer's screen, they probably liked it better.

They do seem to like .tv domains. I wonder why....
