It looks like Gravity.com (registered in 1993) has changed hands. The domain name was owned by Verizon. I think we can safely say that "there aren't any good .COM's out there" or "all the good names are taken" is wrong. If you have a project that is well funded then you're in for a great ride with a great domain.
