I'd try to ask questions to find out what they are going to use the name fo to find out whether this is just a small time thing they're working on or they've working with a major budget. Google their email address, see what comes up. If they got the dough, counter for $1,000 if you can't get any info out of them, accept the offer. Say you had interested in developing and you were curious as to what their intentions were. If they give a detailed plan for it, accept the offer, if they don't give much info, counter with high $xxx. Reverse psychology.

the offer was received at godaddy auction. so, there is no chance to talk with them :(

I just bought it 10 days ago ($13)

it is good to convert it to a public 7 days auction? or it might not have any bidders!
is it better to make counter offer! what price you suggest to make?

Hey ,

Well I hope its a real offer and not some time waster. Also , if you just bought it for $13 i suggest you take the offer (& profit you are making) as pushing them too much might turn around to bite you.

Anyways Good Luck & update us if the sale goes through smoothly.

If it was me I'd be trying for more with this domain, so yes, $1000-$1500. It all depends if you're comfortable with losing the deal if it doesn't work out. Personally, the negotiation side of domaining is my favourite part (you win some, you lose some), but generally, I don't like to go without some sort of fight, plus their opening offer wasn't too low....IMHO.

Holding a $13 domain will not hurt you.

Just contact .fr directly, tell them someone contacted you about the domain but you think they are best possible candidates and that you can do a deal for around $1000 if you have not already made a lower counter offer.

why pay an extra 10% to gd? But yes, you can do that offer-counter offer there as well.

I visit .fr and I found there are many videos that are , I wouldn't gain "Sins" by selling them a .com version which will make them have more traffic. Some of there videos are prohibited in my religion. Even if they offer $10,000 not $1,000, I will not sell them.

IF someone offer to buy my domain name, and I don't know what will he do with domain, it is ok. Since I don't know. But if I know that he will develop the domain with something prohibited in my religion, I will not share the sins with hem - I will not sell it.

For the extra%. Godaddy has a wire transfer service. Paypal have problems in my country, I cannot receive money, just spend.

In that case, send it to auction at open bid, whomever bids wins. Not your control.

I read about Marijuana in general, and about selling related domain names, and had argumentation with some of my friend. I have a viewpoint for all of that. But, after reading your post, I just decided and asked a mufti.

I know this is off topic, but I thank you for this post.

If you don't need the money, counter offer and accept the risk of loosing the deal. If your flipping names for fast cash then the offer is not bad at all, imagine how many domains you can add up on your inventory. most of the time overpricing leads to "zero" dollar.

Don't lose out on the deal.

I just checked .fr site. There is no adult/porn stuff there.

They are your perfect end users, as they got a well developed flourishing site at .fr extension. My opinion.

I'm betting a mufti will tell you not to commerce the domain.

To start with....CONGRATS!!!!!

Second : what is a mufti?

Third : mmj is a CURE for many diseases P*RN is the cause of many so there is an abysmal difference. Religions cause all the other diseases...

Fourth : if for your personal reasons you don't want to sell your domain to that website then don't! Don't listen to those who judge you.
I too would push it to auction as 500$ is a good starting point for that name just pay attention not to end up selling it to them anyway!
I can't suggest you how to avoid it to happen though..you can't filter buyers on GD...

that is right. but my domains are not medical related. they are "i sell vapor" "pure420" .....etc

Religions cause all the other diseases...

I didn't get your point. (what do you mean)
