Today I received an offer for my "Hund" tv name via email. The interested party came from (take a guess!) Germany. The offer was €1500.

I have not responded back yet.
How much do you think I should sell this for?

I'm not in a hurry to sell this one, but ofcourse if I can get a decent offer for it, I'll say "woof woof" to it! ;)

P.S. Pls don't write the domain name in this thread.

Being a dog lover I would say 5,000 but realistically perhaps 2,000 - 3,000 would offer you an amazing return in a short time and should prove a good value for the buyer (imo) over time.

I own W eiss.tv (white in German - danke) as well as D oggie.tv and D ogCare.tv . I am going to develop D ogCare.tv .

Good luck with your negotiations.

Best,

Claude

As a really HUGE dog lover :) I think you can counter his offer with 6-7K and probably the sale price would be nearly 5K IMO Especially if you're not in a harry.
The good thing is that you've got nice offer, not 100 or 300, but 1500. Have you checked the e-mail of this guy?

Yeah I checked the email, it's a gmail.com, couldn't really find that much...

I will send my counter offer tomorrow & hopefully will get a response by Monday.

Thanks for advice Nick! :)

Now I'm off to see my date! I'm late already though! I'll just say; Sorry, but business comes first!

I guess is can you take that money and get better names with it? If so, sell it and if not, counter higher.

Thanks,Jim

It is a high initial offer, I would consider selling it at that price on a german domain.

If it was me, I'd put down a date as the 1st priority, responding to an email offer can wait till after the date ;) Girls 1st, email offers 2nd :)

As a matter of principle never accept the first offer. As for the date, always require the sister to come along; for the name : counter, ask for the double.
Then you can choose..or loose.
Good luck.

This is great advice!! Also don't be to eager in replying, if they take 4 days to reply, don't reply within minutes. It's a nice offer, but I wouldn't be surprised if they have no problem paying EUR 2,500 or even more for it and if you loose this buyer I'm pretty sure there will be more interest in this name later on. At non-premium you simply can't loose in my opinion.

Congrats on the offer and good luck on your decision!!
