I made a sell on ebay for $XX I think it can go for more around mid $xxx I dont want to give up the domain name for such a low price. This is my first time using Ebay, if you auction an item on here and you dont like the final price can you reject it when that the final bid when the auction end?

No. If the auction is closed you're obligated to fulfill the agreement with the buyer. If the auction is still open, you can end it early without consequence.

One of the risks you run when you have an auction is that you are not going to get as much for the item as you expected. In fact, most of the items on ebay sell for less than their fair market value.

I would suggest not backing out an auction. While you may lose a little $ from this auction, you at least made a sale. Additionally, if you get a bad reputation from backing out of auctions you are going to lose even more $ from lost future sales. Next time, put a reserve price on the auction. Live and learn.

It's unprofessional. I know it sucks but the best thing to do is just sell it and learn from your mistake. Next time put a reserve or higher starting price.

Best of luck.

Is this true? I thought you were only able to end an auction early if there were no bidders yet. Please clarify...

I'm pretty sure you can end it if it has no bids and more than 12 hours left.

You should have set a reserve value. Which means if you dont get the minimum price you set it will not sell.

Live and learn.......

I know that -- but tzmartin replied: "If the auction is still open, you can end it early without consequence."

So my question is, can you end an auction early if there are already bids?

Yes, you can but I would not advise it. How can you end an auction if there are bids? You have to cancel all bids and then cancel the auction.
If you cancel auctions and you start getting a reputation for doing so, your ebay sales will decline.

Yes you can. If you need to close the auction with bids, you must specify a reason. The reasons includes the item was broken/lost, error in the listing, or no longer for sale. Once you pick one, all the bidders get an email with the reason, all bids are canceled, and the auction is closed. You cannot close the auction if there is less than 12 hours to go, though.
