The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.

offer them a your expected price or market value....

it seems to be an appraisal scam

Have they asked that you get a paid appraisal? If so, it's a scam.

Just got one too...

This bothers me fot two reasons, 1) that they are spamming me, and 2) that they want to take the business outside of my Afternic account. Frankly, if they want the domain name, they can just hit the "buy now" button.

This is what I got...

"Your domain was advertised for sale.

Just send an email with your price in Euro or other currency.

Our company is working on custom software and hardware projects for several large corporation. Domain names is not our business but a new way to earn on reselling. We are going to buy domains to resell them at higher prices. Our company has a large database of clients interested in good
domains.

If you offer more domains for sale with good reselling potential please email us your list."

i guess my only question is why just one domain though i have around 40 why not do all of them. I guess unsolicited email is always spam.....

Yep, definate scam. Same co. offered me $10,000 for a domain that wasn't worth $100!!!
The object is to peak your interest and then get you to pay for an appraisal with a co. of their choice. You pay for the appraisal (they actually get the money) and you don't hear from them again!!

Jefferson, I believe they do this at random to domain holders. I cant imagine how many poor souls theyve scammed with a BS appraisal. Its fortunate that you came to the forum and asked. By the way, Welcome to NamePros...
