Google talk users?

I would be interested to know out of the however many of you installed google talk just to see what it had to offer actually plan on keeping it installed and using it on a regular basis?

I actually really like it. It does exactly what it needs to and nothing more. It’s a refreshing change from msn’s large, flashing adverts.

The only thing that worries me is that only a very small number of people will actually be using it.

I would be interested to know your thoughts.

I've started using it but I'm not using the client, I'm just connecting via Trillian. I plan to keep connected though.

It is way to basic for my liking.
The only hidden command that I have found is *word* will make the word bold.

I installed it like 5 minutes after it was made public and I love it!

AIM - ugly GUI, weird smilies.
MSN - I get LOADS of connection errors with MSN all the time. I get "Your message could not be delivered..." things all the time and it pisses the shite out of me, so I now avoid MSN, as I can't really message anyone on it.
YIM - it lacks features and it's kinda ugly.

GTalk - doesn't lag out my computer. Isn't graphically whored. The connection is perfect. Nothing to complain about. I love it.

I plan on using it, havnt used AIM in a few days now, 95% of my contacts use GT now, an the other 5 is on MSN

I try to only use GTalk but I get on aim and msn to try and get people to switch.

I don't think it will really take off until various forums begin integrating it for contact purposes. ICQ, AIM, MSN, and Yahoo! are all integrated with most major forum software. I expect that Google will soon be added to that mix, however until then I don't see it really getting popular.
