Good for them! While this is just for the quality raters right now (i.e. don't expect to see any changes in the search results yet), that suggests that they woudl like to bake it into the algo if they can target effectively. Quality raters are used to test changes like that and help them fine-tune their ranking criteria.
Worth noting is that they now classify news sites as YMYL (Your Money or Your Life) along with financial and health related. When they started doing that for the latter industries, genuine authority sites rose to the top and it got a lot harder for crappy money grab sites to rank. Here's hoping.
