anyone tried this ?
its a googlish facebook anyone can invite me to it to give it a try please
Google has tried several times, without much success, to take on Facebook and master social networking. Now it is making its biggest effort yet.

On Tuesday, Google introduced a social networking service called the Google+ project — which happens to look a lot like Facebook. The service, which is initially available to a select group of Google users who will soon be able to invite others, will let people share and discuss status updates, photos and links, much as they do on Facebook.

But the Google+ project will be different in one significant way, which Google hopes will be enough to convince people to use yet another social network.

It is meant for sharing with groups — like colleagues, roommates or hiking friends — not with all of one’s friends or the entire Web. It also offers group text messaging and video chat.

Google to Businesses:
Don’t Create Google+ Profiles Yet

Google has revealed that it is working on a Google+ experience for businesses and is asking brands not to create Google+ profiles just yet.

In a post and accompanying YouTube video on Google+, Product Manager Christian Oestlien says that the Google+ team is working on creating a unique experience for businesses that includes deep analytics and the ability to connect to products like AdWords. “How users communicate with each other is different from how they communicate with brands,” Oestlien argues.

As a result, Google is asking businesses to put their Google+ ambitions on hold.

“The business experience we are creating should far exceed the consumer profile in terms of its usefulness to businesses,” Oestlien says in his post. “We just ask for your patience while we build it. In the meantime, we are discouraging businesses from using regular profiles to connect with Google+ users. Our policy team will actively work with profile owners to shut down non-user profiles.”

Several prominent brands have already joined Google+, including Ford, Breaking News and yes, Mashable, which is now one of the top ten most popular users on Google+.

While the new Google+ experience for businesses won’t be ready until “later this year,” the company intends to launch a “small experiment with a few marketing partners” to test the brand-oriented accounts over the next few months. It even has opened up a Google Spreadsheet where “non-user entities” can apply for the program. It’s unclear when Google will shut down non-user profiles or how the process will work.

We’re not surprised that Google is building an optimized Google+ experience for businesses, but we are surprised that Google wasn’t more prepared for the wave of brands that have been joining its social network. The same thing happened with Google Buzz and has happened on Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and countless other social networks. Brands like to go where their customers are.

I still can't review on this since I haven't practically tried Google plus yet and see it's capabilities and special features. But I think it's another big step for Google to enter the social networking category to be inline with Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn.

This does seem to be better than Google's previous attempts. They're going after Facebook, Twitter and the other big players in this and I do think that they'll be at least partially successful.

If anyone else needs an invite, let me know via pm.

Google+ is far way better than Google's previous attempts to join the social network war. I find it cool, currently playing with circles, and the sparks make it easier for one to share things of interest without leaving the page.

Google is also starting to implement the relation of a webpage to the author's Google+ profile in search results so this will grab a huge share of the social network industry.

I am agree to the facebook official position about G+ is not the competitor for them. More for linkedin.

And I also do not like the concept of sharing personal data with google.
