Definitely. they are going to rule. They are already dealing money business with Adsense/Adwords and making payments to people all over the world. this will make them in advance over PayPal. PayPal does't support many country as well.

I hope it is good but I have no problems with Paypal even after the horror stories I have heard about them but hopefully Gbuy is a success.

I would think it would be *relatively* easy for google to enter this market and compete with paypal.
Google has a much better reputation in general over paypal (search relevant forums).
Also, google is big enough, and international enough to pull this one off.
I hope they go ahead and do it.
They already deal with credit cards and payments because of adwords and adsense, so this seems like the next natural step.

Of course the same could be said about Yahoo. I actually liked PayDirect for the couple of times I used it. I didn't know that it wasn't being used anymore since I haven't used it in about two years. I do think google can pull it off though.

If it gets popular then eBay just has to add it, they would be losing too much money if they would leave out one of the most popular payment options.

Ebay does not have to add anything. you can use any payment system you choose with ebay. not just paypal

if paypal want to keep the compitition yes, which would be great. from wut i heard Gbuy wont be a person to person payment system , at least for sometime.
