so, for the past 3-4 months i've been running google adword campaigns on 2 of my affiliate store front sites. but early in december, i decided to pause my google adwords because 1) i'm not gonna compete with holiday marketers for keywords and pay 5 times more per click 2) i figured that 1/3 of my natural traffic visitors would make a purchase because of the holiday season ANYWAY....(and i was right about that one)
well, oddly, the day my adwords campaigns paused, my adsense clicks on all my sites plunged to a big fat 0...even though the traffic to my websites increased slightly. I'm sure this is pure coincedence....it just seems funny that when adwords are up, so are adsense, when adwords are off, adsense is low or off....keeping in mind that adwords is not my sole source of visitor traffic....
