Google domains

Is it true you can't have a domain with the word "google" in it?

I heard this somewhere on a forum, if so does it account for already existing domains?

You can; I registered www.spreadgoogletalk.com - google slap bang in the middle. I emailed google asking for permission to use their name and logo, they said it was more than OK. If you're going to develop it, just email google - if not, let it expire or email google asking to transfer the domain to them.

ive been using a domain with google in it for more than 8 months now, they never contacted me.

whats about if some one have google domain in chinees, urdu or hindi charcter set.
