Found this in one of my e-mail newsletters. I haven't researched it completely but, "Google Checkout for mobile allows you to quickly make purchases from your mobile phone."

Importantly (according to the newsletter) it is free for merchants, but I haven't been able to confirm it yet on the Google site.

I don't know about you but I get pretty excited when I keep finding out about these mobile payment initiatives.

I believe Japan (and South Korea?) have some kind of mobile payment system also. It's nice to see similar innovation coming to North America.

Hey Scandiman,
Have you pinged Google's Support on this question? I have contacted them before and they seem to be very helpful in answering inquiries and making suggestions. You might try that as well.

Just a thought.
