Google Browser Sync

I have note seen this posted yet so thought I would post it.

Google has what seems to be a new firefox plugin called Google Browser Sync. The following is taken directly from the product's page:-

Google Browser Sync for Firefox is an extension that continuously synchronizes your browser settings – including bookmarks, history, persistent cookies, and saved passwords – across your computers. It also allows you to restore open tabs and windows across different machines and browser sessions.

The webpage for this is http://www.google.com/tools/firefox/browsersync/index.html

Please note however that it seems to be for US people only at the moment (if you are in the wrong country the page will seem to do nothing but if you got too http://dl.google.com/firefox/google-browsersync.xpi which is the direct download for the file you will see the following message "Thanks for your interest, but the product that you're trying to download is not available in your country.".

yea,i couldn't install it as well,maybe theres something wrong with it

Australian here works fine when I download it I do not get any messages.

I dont use firefox so im not 100% sure if it works but I can download it just fine.

Don't you think sharing such data with Google Servers would be a compromise to the privacy?

well that is all about choice navjotjsingh.

If you would like convenience then forgo some privacy but if you like your privacy do not use this tool (nor search on google, dont install their toolbar, dont sign up with gmail etc etc)
