Hello.

I'm selling the site GoodRiddles.net in a hope to raise a little bit of capital to deal with certain situations which have come up.

It's averaging about 800-1500 impressions / day, mostly from Google Search rankings for keywords such as "good riddles", "logical riddles", "mathematical riddles" and "riddles and puzzles". Profit isn't great, however, few attempts to monetize the site have been made: currently avergaing a conversion on the book offer every week, adsense or similar could be implemented for greater profits.

The site was established at the end of August of 2005.

Starting bid of $50, with increments of at least $5, auction to end when I am convinced there are no further incoming bids.

Payment to be made only by Paypal, domain registered at NameCheap.

Thanks.

Will you agree here in this public thread to not sell copies of the database after the sale?

Did you buy the database yourself?

Are there multiple copies floating around?

I'm sorry, that should've been made clear, an oversight on my part.

If you are considering bidding; read this first:

The site is based on a free riddles-site script, with a free riddles database. You are bidding on the traffic, domain name and search engine rankings, as well as the customized enough layout that it prevents being called duplicated content (any unique/semi-unique layout should do this).

I will provide proof of traffic before payment, rather than now, as it's not available to me at this time (I will ensure you see the screenshot before this transaction is completed though!)

I'll wait till you have proof of traffic before I bother bidding :)

Since its the main reason I would bid.

and if I give them to you, I have to give them to everyone.

I guess if I'm losing bids by not showing them; I'll show them.
Let me take the 'shots, then I'll stick 'em up.

This is a reason i or many others would not bid on it.

Statistics; please ignore the "riddles.clearcheats.com" that is because of how cPanel handles addon domains.

referrer/se traffic shots?

The average in the stats says 960 pages per day, where did you get the 1500 number from?

Broken traffic numbers from another statistics tool. The reason I took so long getting the screenshot up is AWStats was broken; so I was using a temporary hack I threw up to parse the apache log.
