Going away on my first guys holiday

yup, me and 14 other Scottish guys are hitting Kavos in Greece for a fortnight on Monday! little bit nervous on how it might pan out as some of my friends went last year and there were a few mishaps including a slit eye and coughing up blood, amongst many more incidents!

have any of you guys got holidays planned this summer?

Got late August in France, but do not know the town exactly, anyway somewhere at the Atlantic Ocean. And maybe some days at Budapest too (it is 300 km from here).

Hope you have a great holiday, just remember not to go snorting too much absinthe.

I hear several hospitals in Greece have just converted part of their A&E into hotel rooms for Scottish visitors.

haha...we do love our drink it has to be said - although i prefer some Jagermeister and Sambuca to absinthe :hehe:

Jagermeister isn't bad but Sambuca is disgusting.

Regarding your holiday, just make sure you know your limits, If you are not happy to be drinking more then don't. You may get a hard time from some but at the end of the day you won't be the 1 coughing up blood or worse.

I'm off to poland for 4 weeks (my dad's girlfriend lives there), and then to sicily (again) for 2 weeks.
Sicily is awesome. Best country on earth (for holidays).

Never really wanted to go to greece, make sure you tell us about the bits you were sober enough to remember.

Erm... nice pic, is that a normal quiet night out in Glasgow I wonder?

Not sure how tolerant the Greek police are, so you might want to take some extra cash with you on holiday... fines and bail money!

Well good luck and have fun.

As far as my vacation goes. I am waiting till my birthday in Mid July. It will be my 40th. And yes as a female, I am secure enough to say it in public. I wanted to take a trip even overnight. But the savings I had went to cover some family expenses and tuition and books(went back to college this month). Someday I will make that trip to New York(to see the Twin Towers area, take in a broadway show and see the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island) or Washington DC to Arlington Cemetary and the Smithsonian. If I ever would skip over the pond, would love to see Wales.
