is there any way for anyone to view it? any tricks to do so?

thanks

No there isnt. Unless there might be an error in the system revealing your data or a court ordering the Registrar to reveal it.

Nope, basically you should be securely hidden, except from some staff of registrar, ICANN etc.

HiSoC8Y, this thread is a good example of why you should take everything you are told in forums with a grain of salt.

If you read the GoDaddy terms carefully, you will see why the consensus view is sometimes less than accurate.

I have never had a problem with them, but I have read horror stories that show the exceptions listed in GoDaddy's Terms are not hypothetical.

Yes there are horror stories about them, but those are about domain registrations and not the privacy service. Maybe there are also some about the latter, which I havent heard of yet however, but before you criticise the helpful replies in this thread, it would have been better to provide links to those stories.

Let me underline what I said above: "The exceptions listed in GoDaddy's Terms are not hypothetical" according to 'horror stories' that I have read.

I didn't mean to criticize GoDaddy for enforcing their own Terms and Conditions - by 'horror stories' I meant that particular genre of forum postings that is sometimes surprisingly informative despite usually being too emotional, simply because it's written right after the event that the poster describes.

Hence I did not mean to imply GoDaddy have committed some horrific act of injustice to any user of their privacy service (although some people clearly felt that way in one particular case, and that particular story - which is totally unrelated to the FamilyAlbum type ones - was fairly widely commented on in domaining blogs at the time).

neroux, I didn't mean to pick up a fight; if this post doesn't answer your concern I'll be happy to go dig up the links.
