Putting things on autopilot thru the API we have designed and asking just to tell us 2 simple things which they have no answer and making different things and when we did all those things they seems like just giving nonsense excuses (excuse my language) but I am really pissed on loosing 3 hours with 2 different operators and nothing!

I think the operators are just good as like bots to keep sending you the link where it says how to update the name server and other DNS records!

what do you mean "the API we have designed"? Is this a problem with our standard interface or with an API?

Paul, the Godaddy services are huge, I agree and the services they giving are enormous but you people really need to fix two things:

1 - Change or train the staff better or make some sort of rating system as the people who giving support are just like newbie's, there must be a thing like Tier1, Tier2 xx support as if you ask anything they just keep sending the same things and when you say what you are doing .. then you receive a response that I am handling couple of queries at a same time so please wait. and it goes long and long and long.

    2 - Fix the backend

@TrueBranding you should change the name of this thread. A DNS issue is not worth the dire warning you have issued. imo

It's not the DNS issue it's about Ethics and not about any DNS issue, I understand that we live in a Digital world and these things can happen even can happen with anyone, I have notice several issues with Godaddy business practise and it's not just the DNS or anything.

The professional business take care of their clients because the money is involve and when money is involve you should be professional as you the one earning from our money and we have the right to say.

GoDaddy ignorance practise and treating themselves to be a God in Domaining is not justified, if I loose a single day of anything (money, effort, or sales) I have a right to say it loud.

I do not mind to have a name registered like

    GoDaddy-Ignorance
    GoDaddy-Unethical-Practice

and do point 500-800 names and some SEO traffic because I am really not happy with their authoritative behavior.

But I do not wanted to go to that level as I have to show the maturity but any company who operates on any level should understand that they are responsible to behave well as they are taking our money and in returns providing us the services and I respect that but when I am not satisfied it's my 500% right to say it Loud and Openly.

    I hope that clarify things.

    Thank you All.

Ok @TrueBranding. It sounds like you have all the answers. I hope when your business reaches 18.5 million customers that you're able to provide the level of service that you expect here.

I've been around the business for over 20 years and have used many registrars in that time. GoDaddy is far from being the worst, and 25 domains is far from being a "large portfolio." Your thread title is very misleading.

I usually avoid getting into personal comments but I just love to response and hold the right to answer if it's directly sent to me.

With due respect @rj.6 It seems like you totally misunderstood here and you judge people with the number of domains so let me clear you that we own more than the age of yours and than multiple it with x 500 :) also secondly it's not about if they are reaching 18.5 million or 180 million as I have seen and work with cooperations with more bigger than GodDaddy.

I do not count the integrity of the company to how many people they are providing the services to, I count it when they treat it well.

We planned to throw 10k names there with them to give them a test with discount club and all but it turned out to be like this.

I expect a great service and a humble response from a company who has been treating 18.5 million customers than it means they must have been professional now to handle 36 million customers with more passion.

I have been doing business since 1999 myself and have seen things and dealt with the companies quite larger than GoDaddy at that time, so I do understand how to provide services and keep check and balance.

If you wanted to share and make a wild guess on the "large portfolio" feel free to open a thread and throw the best names you have in there and we do the same so we will see what does the large portfolio means :) , and if you count that me as a newbie here due to my signup date in here than again my friend you totally misunderstood.

I hope nobody is offended, I stated and still strongly hold that the response I have been getting on such a poor Godaddy support made me think quite many times that how come a company could be so mean!

" I make response and believe in saying the right thing without being influence on someone else large numbers "

    thank you

Can you ask your 2 simple questions here and maybe someone here can answer them? I only use Godaddy API for appraisals and available domains so I probably won't be a big help but maybe someone can answer them.

I was with Godaddy in the beginning and find them complicated etc. . I changed to Fabulous and when they changed to Enom, then they also got strange setup and I could not get use to it, so I moved to Epik and so far so good. Simple, logical, good price and great support. I wonder why would anyone stay or go with Godaddy if the are better choices IMHO

From the title, I can see there is a baby whining and crying.
I work with GD for over 10 years and never had any problem.
I have over 1,000 names with them.

@johnn You are absolutely right, make honest money so that's why have to cry when there are issues and concern which some people do not raise due to some certain reasons.

@TrueBranding if you have been in business since 1999 with a huge 10k+ portfolio, I am surprised to hear this is the worst experience you have ever had with a registrar. This sounds like a minor inconvenience. No names have been lost or stolen. You haven't been scammed. Support actually attempted to help you. Some bad registrars don't even have customer support, others are complete shams or have unusable websites. Even your favorite registrar Dynadot has its fair share of complaints worse than this.

GoDaddy assigns a dedicated support agent for customers with hundreds of domains. This thread title says "do not choose for large portfolio" instead of "do not choose for small portfolio". The support is better for large portfolio holders, so the title of this thread is misleading. It implies you had a large portfolio at GoDaddy when you did not.

@rj.6 I agree with you on most of your things, but the bigger you grow the bigger responsibilities you have, it's not about they try to help, they lie and keep lying and there is no way to stop it.

A lie is a lie and when misguiding intentionally it's not about if someone is millionaire and are allowed to do things they like.

"With BIG power comes BIG responsibility" and when a company is keep failing that and not getting into the standards they are treated like this.

Dynadot I do not seriously vouch for them too, they are okay, there is no comparison.

Just play in a reverse way ... if they can treat a small business owner (when I have just put 25 names in a day) than what worse could happen when the stakes are high.

I hope you won't mind when I put a personal remark on it and I think I am the most less knowledgeable person among you all in here, just do manage things and trying to do, no matter how good or how big the inventory we have .. but we are learners and will be the same.

    Thank you for understanding.

I think most of your concerns were answered here. If we can help I am happy to.

I don't want to jump in late and say much except that no matter which registrar you pick to use ramping up to 10k domains by 25-30 a day is very possible but domain names have a learning curve and I think going slow and testing your business plan and the ability to monetize the names in practice (by whichever way you choose) as a small scale test and adjusting as needed to make sure it works is the safest practice. Wherever you wind up I think we all want you to be successful so my advice would be to take it slow, make sure the names you buy are working out, (for resale, parking, seo,) whatever your plan is with them. Once you can prove that out expand it again and re-evaluate and then go on that same path so you can keep adjusting and being successful. And of course this is a great place to come and read and get advice. Good luck with your endeavors.

@Joe Styler Thank you exactly, that's what we have been doing and kind of names being sellout and things and we learn a lot every year and making it double every year not triple to make sure that all works well, we planned to do 10k with Godaddy as well as we are doing around 25-30 a day and that's the perfect figure to grow and each domain has to go thru certain factors (kind of names and keywords ratio) etc.

@Esiri Toneh we moved on, time is more important we switched and moved on.

Thank you all for your kind suggestions.

@lock I exposed enough and the ones who not agreed with my judgement and experience will never be agreed, so let's keep it this way.
