It would be interesting if anyone could share their experience with their GoDaddy rep, or VIP Account Executive as they are officially called. Have they been useful and responsive?

My experience is disappointing. For example, I reached out to see if the bulk search limit could be raised from the standard of 2,000. On the webpage it says to call a phone number to discuss it. But since I have a rep, I thought it was an excellent opportunity for him to show what he can do.

He said he would check with the "Leaders", but after a week without getting back to me, I sent a reminder. After another week he replies with a link to the bulk search that is available for everybody with the 2,000 limit! I reply, explaining again that my question was whether the limit could be raised. More than two weeks later, and I haven't heard from him again.

@GoDaddy What level of service is reasonable to expect when I have a vip account executive? Is investigating whether the bulk search limit can be raised too much to ask for? And what type of response time is reasonable to expect?

How does one even get a VIP rep in the first place ?

GoDaddy reaches out to you. I'd guess that you have to spend above a certain threshold.

But at this point, I don't think I can recommend it. @GoDaddy hasn't even bothered to respond to this thread.

I'm sorry that your experience has been disappointing thus far.

Overall, my experience with them has been excellent. I've had one bad rep, a couple of good ones, and three really good ones. My current rep is excellent. There have been many times where I have had problems with GoDaddy's policies, platform reliability, and/or features and at those times the best thing about GoDaddy has been my rep.

Given how hostile or arrogant the GoDaddy corporate vibe can be, I've been pleasantly surprised at how good many of their people are.

I haven't asked for a bump in bulk search volume limit. I'm guessing that I might get a "no" if I did but not a lack of response.

Give them some $ and they'll you a glorified account manager to help you give them more $, haha.

My rep, Mr Fear, has been really good... reaches out every couple weeks to see if he can help in any way. Even offers to get payouts sped up if afternic is being slow among many other things.

Sounds like a good rep. My rep said that he won't help with Afternic stuff. and that I should reach out to Afternic support for that.

Hi @DrJacoby
Our Premier Services team is here to help you succeed, and if that's not your experience, then we certainly want to know about it. Please email us with more information on your rep and experience so far to [email protected], and we'll share this with our team.

Premier Services are the often under-the-radar supporters of domain investor success at GoDaddy. They're a highly knowledgeable team who will generally help their clients wherever and whenever they can. As we said, if this isn't your experience, then we'd like to know about it.

@GoDaddy I hope this is the appropriate section to post this question in Namepros.

I am getting a consistent error with the bulk domain search located at: https://www.godaddy.com/domains/bulk-domain-search/

I've tried to clear cookies, cache, use a different browser... When the error is present I still get the error no matter where. Then, I dont know why, it clears up. I am bulk searching 382 domains which is far below the 1000 limit. I have also tried importing a file of names and that goes nowhere, blank screen.

Wondering if there is a quick fix that I havent thought of or if anyone has experienced this and corrected it?

Thanks!

Here is the error:

I've been fortunate recently and not received that error for a while but I've seen it many times. My experience matches yours. When it is happening, I cannot work around it by changing browser, clearing cookies, logging in/out, etc. I just need to wait and try later. I've wondered if it is related to GoDaddy wanting to throttle search volume at that time either broadly or specifically to me.

When this is happening I usually shift and use Dynadot's bulk search. It's different but also useful for my needs.

Thanks, same for me. Will try Dynadot in the meantime.
FYI have posted this at: https://www.namepros.com/threads/godaddy.83569 as this was not likely the correct place for it.

I've got a GoDaddy rep too. He just called me up one day and I was afraid it was going to end up being some sort of sales call but it wasn't. He has called a couple of times to let me know when their namefinder? namefind? auctions were coming up as there were a few that fit my niche interests (but not my pricing haha).

I'm also on a couple of mailing lists that show expiring domain names.

I was actually curious if there was anything I should be asking my rep about or for that I might not already know about. :)

So it was a sales call after all :xf.grin:

That was actually a different phone call but I'd be lying if I didn't say "ah ha!" in my mind!
